The company Plattenhardt und Wirth GmbH was founded in Meckenbeuren, Germany, on July 1^st, 1965, by Kurt Plattenhardt and Paul Wirth. In the beginning, it produced cold rooms and acoustic rooms. Later, due to seasonal variations, it added small steel construction and pipes to its portfolio. From this separate department, a demerger was created. Thus, on January 1^st, 1983, the company P+W Metallbau was founded. This company mainly manufactured steel components and smaller containers made of stainless steel and aluminum. Due to the extended range of services and the production of ever larger silos, as well as a steadily growing customer base, the company moved to the current premises in the Ehrlosen industrial park. The buildings and the new production tower were designed in such a way that large vessel construction could be started.

Today, P+W Metallbau, a medium-sized owner-managed company, that consists of a team of over 140 employees. Annually we produce over 500 silos and containers up to a diameter of Ø 6,500 mm and a height of 30,000 mm. For larger dimensions, the silos are no longer assembled in our factory, but directly on site at your location. The company premises cover 60,000 m² including 5 production halls with an area of 4,500 m² and three production towers. Only the most modern computer-aided manufacturing techniques are used for the production of the vessels and silos and our TÜV and DVS certified welders and technicians do their utmost to implement the demanding and highly specialized requirements of our customers.

Our goal is to continue to respond to the needs and wishes of our customers in the future. We therefore see ourselves first and foremost as a partner.
